Walk & Talk therapy is an opportunity to take your therapy session outdoors. Meeting up and sitting across from your therapist in an office may not be how you want your therapy journey to look. For years research has shown the benefits of being in nature. Eco-therapist have been tasked with the job to add more nature to cityscapes, business, office spaces, and so on. Why not meet up in nature? Increase our dopamine, soak up some Vitamin D and take advantage of unraveling the messy parts of our lives while putting one foot in front of the other.
Where do we meet & is this ethical?
Unraveled Therapy is currently located in Decatur, Texas and provides Walk & Talk therapy at a local park that will be discussed upon scheduling. Your therapist will review limits of confidentially and important details prior to your session.
What about the weather?
If mother nature decides to give us rain, we can always move our session to my virtual office. I am fully comfortable with a few sprinkles, layering for colder weather, and choosing the coolest part of the day during Texas' hot summers. I will always check in with you and see what you are most comfortable with.
Who is Walk & Talk for?
Anyone! As your therapist I want to ensure you are the most comfortable and safe. You set the speed and I will be by your side. If you are fearful of walking for too long but want to get outside have no fears, park benches are near. Our walks are to focus on your mental health and not physical exercise.
